How to keep your jewelry looking new

Our pieces are made to be worn — showered in, rained on, slept in if that's your thing. Anti-tarnish and water-resistant means you don't have to take anything off before you live your day. Still, a little care goes a long way, and it takes about thirty seconds.

Wipe your pieces down with a soft dry cloth when you take them off. That's honestly the biggest one. Most of what dulls jewelry isn't water — it's the build-up of lotion, perfume, sunscreen and everyday oils sitting on the surface.

Give products a minute to dry before your jewelry goes on. Perfume and body oil are best applied first, then your necklace or your rings. Not because a drop will ruin anything, but because a clean surface stays brighter for longer.

Store pieces separately rather than in one big pile. Chains tangle, stones scratch, and a small pouch or a divided box saves you the ten-minute untangling session later. If you're travelling, a soft pouch per piece is enough.

For a deeper clean, warm water and a drop of gentle soap on a soft cloth is all you need. Rinse, then dry properly — especially in the clasp and around any stone settings, where water likes to sit.

That's it. No polishing kits, no rules about taking things off. Wear them, wipe them, keep them somewhere soft.

KEEP IT SHINING

Our pieces are made for real life, so this isn’t a list of rules. It’s the handful of small habits that keep gold-plated jewelry looking new for years.

✦

Dry after water

Our pieces are water-resistant, so showers, rain and swimming are fine. Just pat them dry with a soft cloth afterwards — it keeps the finish looking its brightest.

✦

Jewelry last

Perfume, lotion, sunscreen and hairspray sit on the surface of any plating. Get ready first, then put your pieces on.

✦

A soft wipe is enough

A dry microfibre cloth after wear removes oils and dust. If a piece needs more, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse and dry fully.

✦

Store pieces apart

Chains scratch chains. Keep each piece in its own pouch, a lined box or separate compartments so nothing rubs.

✦

Rinse after chlorine or salt

Pools and the sea are fine — chlorine and salt just leave residue behind. A quick rinse with fresh water and a dry-off is all it takes.

✦

Keep it out of the heat

Avoid leaving pieces on a sunny windowsill or near a radiator for long periods. Cool and dry is best for any plated jewelry.

A FEW THINGS TO AVOID

  • Harsh cleaners, bleach, acetone or ultrasonic cleaners
  • Polishing cloths meant for solid silver — they're too abrasive for plating
  • Sleeping in fine chains, which can kink or tangle
  • Bending or reshaping hoops and cuffs by hand
